MARTIN PEMBROKE, CPA
Martin Pembroke is a Managing Director and the Director of Operations for HLW Fund Services, where he is responsible for day-to-day administration management, building and maintaining systems and processes, training staff and ensuring overall client satisfaction for all onshore and offshore clients.Marty has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. For the last 15 years he has held senior executive positions where he focused on improving operational efficiencies and financial reporting processes for large organizations. Prior to joining HLW Fund Services, Marty was the Chief Operating Officer of the North America division of a Top 20 global fund administration firm. While there, Marty established a new U.S.-based hedge fund administration facility that, over five months, doubled Assets Under Administration (AUA) across its Chicago and Columbus locations to $15 billion.
Earlier in his career, Marty was the Chief Financial Officer for national broker-dealer Tucker Anthony Capital Markets, the Treasurer of Rodman and Renshaw, Inc. and the Senior Vice President and Controller of Fuji Securities, Inc. Marty started his career in public accounting with Spicer & Oppenheim International.
Marty is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has successfully completed the securities industry qualification exams for General Securities Principal and Financial and Operations Principal (Series 3, 7, 24, 27 and 63). Marty has also served as a member of the National Association of Securities Dealers Net Capital Task Force and the National Association of Securities Dealers Series 27/28 Exam Review Committee. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
