Hiren Modi is a Managing Director at HLW Fund Services where he provides personalized administration services to a variety of investment funds, including hedge funds, private equity funds and fund of funds.
In addition to his role at HLW Fund Services, Hiren is also the partner in charge of the broker-dealer practice at HLW. He focuses on serving domestic and offshore funds, private equity funds, boutique broker-dealers and option traders. Hiren also has experience in providing accounting and auditing services to investment funds with India-specific investment strategies through various jurisdictions. He has been with HLW for more than 10 years, working with hedge funds ranging in size from $1 million to over $750 million.
Prior to joining HLW, Hiren worked as an accountant and supervisor at a regional accounting firm in India, where he was involved in the audits of large domestic and foreign publicly-traded companies, local mutual funds and stock brokers.
Hiren is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is also a member of the AICPA Stockbrokerage and Investment Banking Expert Panel. Hiren received a Master of Science degree in Business Administration from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Auditing from Mumbai University.
