LAURA LEE ROSS, CPA, MS TAXATION
Laura Lee Ross is a Managing Director at HLW Fund Services where she provides personalized fund administration services to investment funds, including hedge funds, private equity funds and venture capital funds.
In addition to Laura's role at HLW Fund Services, she is also the partner in charge of HLW's hedge fund tax practice, where she specializes in providing tax services to partnerships, limited liability companies, securities partnerships, market makers and high net-worth individuals. She has been with HLW for more than 12 years, is a member of its Tax Committee and has overseen the Firm's participation in numerous charitable events.
Laura is actively involved in the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA). For the San Francisco chapter, she is currently serving as the Vice President and Chair of the Tax Committee. At the State level, she is a state council representative and a member of both the Public Service Award Committee and the Taxation Committee. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Laura is a frequent presenter at hedge fund conferences and seminars on numerous tax-related topics, including hedge fund tax essentials and K-1 preparation issues. She also works closely with local San Francisco universities. She is a member of the San Francisco State University Accounting Department Advisory Board and has taught the school's financial statement analysis course. In addition, Laura teaches a financial instruments course as part of the Master's program at Golden Gate University.
Laura received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a minor in Business Information and Computing Systems from San Francisco State University. She received her Master of Science degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
